There are often men who hold a special place in a girl's or woman's life. Some are fathers. Some are uncles. Some are brothers. Some are mentors, spiritual leaders, husbands, or even sons. Their influence may come through childhood memories, words of wisdom, acts of protection, correction, encouragement, or simply their consistent presence through life's seasons.
The impact of a good man is not always measured by grand gestures. Sometimes it is found in the everyday moments that help shape who we become.
As we celebrate the Men of Impact Issue of Winners Circle Magazine, I found myself reflecting on the men who have helped shape my own life journey.
My late father, Charles Sam Williams III, laid a foundation that continues to influence me today. His love, guidance, and example left an imprint that time cannot erase. Though he is no longer physically present, his impact remains.
My uncle, Pastor Robert C. Blackmon, has been a constant source of wisdom and support throughout my life. Growing up under the same roof, I witnessed firsthand what faithfulness, leadership, and family commitment looked like. His influence extended not only to me but also to my children, creating memories and lessons that will never be forgotten.
My brother, Prophet Dr. James Hewitt, has walked alongside me through some of life's most difficult seasons. His prayers, encouragement, and spiritual support have helped strengthen me during times when I needed it most.
Chief Apostle Michael L. Rowles, my spiritual father, has provided leadership, accountability, wisdom, and guidance throughout my years under his covering. His investment in my spiritual growth has played an important role in my development as a believer and leader.
My husband, Apostle Reuben L. Young, has been a source of friendship, leadership, love, and support. Through life's victories and challenges, he has remained steadfast, helping me continue moving forward with faith and purpose.
And then there is my son, Ashton Charles Price. Although his life was cut short, the lessons, love, and memories he left behind continue to shape me. His life changed me forever and remains part of the reason I continue to serve, encourage, and help others through their own journeys.
Each of these men holds a unique place in my story. Their influence helped shape the woman, publisher, leader, and minister I am today.
In the Men of Impact Issue of Winners Circle Magazine, I share a more personal reflection on these remarkable men and the lasting impact they have had on my life.
Because sometimes the greatest legacy is not found in what a person achieves. It is found in the lives they touch along the way.
